Four Generations

Our family has been here since 1905, and we are the fourth generation to own and operate Bondi Resort. Because of the sandy beach and the shape of our bay, Joseph Tapley named his pioneer farm for the famous beach in Sydney, Australia, where he had enjoyed an exciting career with Gilbert and Sullivan on the comic opera stage. While we began as a pioneer farm, Bondi has gradually transformed into one of Muskoka's premier housekeeping cottage resorts, with many unique features preserving our heritage - including our large organic garden and our free-range hens! With over 240 hectares (600 acres) of private wilderness woodlands surrounding the resort, just ten minutes from Algonquin Park, we feature over 400 metres (1200’) of waterfront and beach, boat rentals, summer hiking trails winding through fields and woods, frisbee golf course, 20 km. of groomed cross country ski and snowshoe trails in winter, access to nearby snowmobile trails for sledders, and a toboggan hill for the young at heart.
